At Washburn: Played in 41 games making 36 starts at Washburn … graduated in May 2018 with degree in finance now pursuing a master's degree … a four-time member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
In 2019: Appeared in six games on the offensive line before an injury cut short his season … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
In 2018: Named honorable mention all-MIAA after helping to anchor an Ichabod offensive line which allowed only 13 sacks as the Ichabods had the No. 4 passing offense in the league this year at 243 yard per game … started all 11 games on the offensive line at center or right guard … named Ichabod offensive power player of the week after the Pittsburg State game and a two-time Ichabod big hit award winner.
In 2017: Started 10 of 12 games on the offensive line … named Ichabod offensive lineman of the week after the Missouri Western game … also received the Big Hit award after the Missouri Southern game … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
In 2016: Started nine of 12 games on the offensive line at center helping the Ichabods to 150 yards per game rushing and 215 yards a game through the air … a two-time winner of the Ichabod big hit award … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
Background: Joined the Ichabods for practice in the spring after transferring from Missouri State … redshirted the 2014 season where he was offensive scout team player of the week after homecoming win over South Dakota … named MVFC honor roll and to MSU Athletic Director's Honor Roll … at Holton High School he was a Rivals two-star standout … a consensus all-state offensive and defensive lineman for two seasons … a first-team all-league selection as a senior while being selected to the Kansas Shrine Bowl and 2012 Under Armour All-American Combine ... helped the Wildcats to a 12-1 finish his final season after helping lead his team to an undefeated Class 4A state title run (14-0) in 2012 ... part of a 26-game winning streak at Holton ... also an exceptional shot putter for the Wildcats … played in the Kansas Shrine Bowl and was elected captain … a Kansas Top 11 Scholar Athlete.
Personal: Son of Russ and Mary Ann Riederer … father Russ played football at Kansas State and coached for the Wildcats as well as at Purdue and Green Bay and Chicago in the NFL … brother Rob played football at Tulsa.
