In 2013: Appeared in nine games starting the final two passing for 781 yards and seven touchdowns completing 56 of 102 passes for 781 yards … threw for a career-high 343 yards and four touchdowns against Missouri Western … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

In 2012: Started the final game of the season against Missouri Western throwing for 183 yards going 16 of 33 with two touchdowns … overall played in nine games completing 63 of 129 attempts throwing for 782 yards and nine touchdowns … was 10 of 17 against Lincoln with two scores … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

Background: Played in nine games in 2011 throwing for 54 yards at Butler County … as a senior he passed for 1,979 yards and 20 touchdowns at McPherson High School … as a starter for the Bullpups, McPherson finished 18-4 reaching the 2008 semifinals … passed for 4,000 yards in his prep career … played in the Shrine Bowl … also played baseball at Butler for one season.
