At Washburn:  Missed final nine games of the season after suffering an injury.

In 2012: Appeared in two games before missing the final nine of the season after suffering a knee injury against Fort Hays State receiving a medical redshirt … had two solo tackles on special teams recording one each against the Tigers and Nebraska-Kearney … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

Background: Appeared in three games rushing for 121 yards and two touchdowns as a freshman at Fort Scott Community College with 115 yards coming against Independence Community College on 22 carries with both rushing scores … missed the remainder of the season with an ankle injury … as a senior at Mill Valley he rushed for a school-record 1,949 yards and 26 touchdowns on 251 carries earning first team all-state and second team all-metro honors … his junior season he rushed for over 1,500 yards and 25 touchdowns earning all-conference honors … played in the 2011 Kansas Shrine Bowl … also competed in wrestling, baseball and track.

Personal:  Son of Rod and Tonya Brunson … majoring in physical therapy.
