At Washburn: The seventh Ichabod to have his name called during the NFL Draft as the Minnesota Vikings selected Hinton with the 39th pick in the seventh round and the 253 overall pick … a four-year member of the Ichabods starting the last 34 games making 40 appearances on the offensive line … a four-time all-MIAA selection on the offensive line earning all-region honors in 2018 and 2019 … a three-time All-American selection … a four-time member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll and three-time MIAA Scholar Athlete award winner … in 2019, he was also a track and field second team all-American finishing ninth at the NCAA Indoor Championships and he has the school record in the weight throw and the top eight throws overall as well as the outdoor record in the discus and the top six marks in school history.

In 2018: A first team all-MIAA selection and third team Don Hansen all-region honors starting all 11 games helping to anchor an Ichabod offensive line which allowed only 13 sacks as Washburn had the No. 4 passing offense in the league this year at 243 yard per game … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll and an MIAA Scholar Athlete … also earned second team All-American honors at the NCAA Indoor Championships in the weight throw with a school-record mark and a ninth-place finish.

In 2017: Started all 12 games on the offensive line earning third team all-MIAA honors … a two-time winner of the Ichabod offensive lineman of the week … also a member of the Ichabod track and field team where he recorded the second best throw in the weight throw and shot put in the indoor season along with the second-best throws in the discus and outdoor hammer throw … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll and an MIAA Scholar Athlete.

In 2016: Appeared in seven games as a true freshman on the offensive line … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll and the MIAA Excellence Award.

Background: An all-section selection as a senior … an all-district pick in basketball and football as a junior … MVP on the offensive line as a junior and the defensive line as a sophomore … a three-time academic all-district academic selection.

Personal: Son of Curt Hinton and Shonda Hightower-Hinton … majoring in psychology.
