At Washburn: Will compete for starting quarterback position entering sophomore season after playing in five games as a redshirt freshman last season.
In 2016: Appeared in five games completing 14 of 33 passes for 197 yards and one touchdown while rushing for 34 yards on 12 carries … completed season-high six passes against Bemidji State in the Mineral Water Bowl … named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll and was a Capitol Federal True Blue Scholar … made 11 starts playing in 23 games for the Ichabod baseball team.
In 2015: Sat out the season as a redshirt … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll … was also a member of the Ichabod baseball team … redshirted for the Ichabod baseball team as well.
Background: An all-district pick at quarterback as a senior and passed for 2,828 yards and 25 touchdown passes in 10 games … as a junior he was an all-district and all-state selection at quarterback after passing for 3,557 yards and 40 touchdowns completing 236 of 393 passing attempts including a school-record 390 yard game … passed for 8,754 career yards which was fourth in Missouri state history and the most in 6A history … his 88 career touchdowns is fifth all-time in Missouri history … earned all-district honors and all-state honors as a pitcher and shortstop as team won state baseball title … an all-district selection at quarterback as a sophomore.
