Biography

At Washburn: Has started the last 15 games appearing in 28 in his career recording 95 catches for 1,248 yards and eight touchdowns … he is tied for 12th all-time at Washburn with the 95 catches and his receiving yards rank 15th all-time in school history.

In 2012: Started all 11 games and recorded a team-high 39 catches adding 509 yards with five touchdowns while averaging 13.1 yards per catch … his 46.3 receiving yards per game was a team-high as well … had a season-high 91 yards receiving against Northeastern State on five catches and had a season-high seven receptions for 60 yards against Missouri Western.

In 2011: Made four starts playing in all 13 games and was second on the team with 56 receptions … his 739 receiving yards was third on the squad … finished with three touchdown catches … had a career-high seven receptions against Emporia State and another high of 131 receiving yards against Abilene Christian in the NCAA playoffs … had a career-long catch of 67 yards for a touchdown against the Wildcats … named the Ichabods’ offensive skill player of the week twice during the season.

In 2010: Appeared in four games … named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll … named the Ichabods’ work team offensive player of the week for practice prior to the Northwest Missouri game.

In 2009: Sat out the season as a redshirt … named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

Background: Recorded 801 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns on 54 receptions averaging 14.8 yards per catch and rushed for 43 yards on eight carries … a 5A all-state selection as well as all-area top 11 pick two times … named all-league and all-city two times … also had 27 tackles and two interceptions as a senior … averaged 27.6 yards per kickoff return collecting 470 yards on 17 returns and averaged 23.6 yards per punt return and two touchdowns on seven returns … a three-year letterman in basketball … a second team all-city pick and a second team all-league pick.

Personal: Son of Bob and Pamela Kobbeman … sister Wendy was a three-year letterwinner on the Lady Blues volleyball team … majoring in criminal justice.
