In 2008: Appeared in two games … named to the MIAA’s Academic Honor Roll … named the Ichabods’ defensive work team player of the week prior to the Northwest Missouri game.

In 2007: Sat out the season as a redshirt … named work team defensive player of the week prior to the Central Missouri game.

Background: Was a four-year letter winner for the Wildcats earning all-city and Topeka-Capital Journal top 11 honors … led city schools with 1,105 rushing yards … named first team all-league defense and the defensive player of the year … a first team all-state pick on defense and third team all-state, all-class pick … named Wildcats’ most valuable player on defense and offense and team captain … named to the 2007 Kansas Shrine Bowl.

Personal: Born June 11, 1988 … son of Mike and Debbie Geist … older sister Amanda was a four-year letterwinner for the Lady Blues soccer team … majoring in accounting.
