Clint Dominick joined the Washburn athletic department in January 2025 where he will oversee the strength and conditioning programs leading the football team’s workouts while overseeing the current staff working with other teams to be determined.
Prior to coming to Topeka, Dominick spent 11 years at the University of Missouri-Kansas City athletic department. During his time with the Roos, he was the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports performance and oversaw the strength and conditioning efforts for all sports with specific oversight of volleyball, men and women's soccer, softball, golf, and men and women’s track and field.
Prior to joining the Kangaroos, Clint spent eight years in the private sector where he served as the Performance Manager and Strength and Conditioning Coach at 68’s Inside Sports in Overland Park, Kan., and the Sports Performance Director at Velocity Sports Performance in Lenexa, Kan. He was responsible for designing and implementing speed, strength, and conditioning programs for scholastic, collegiate, and professional athletes.
From 2000-04, he was an Assistant Strength Coach at the University of Nebraska. While with the Cornhuskers, he assisted with the strength and conditioning program for football and directed the strength program for the men and women’s track and field programs. The track and field team won five Big 12 Championships during his time there. He also had the opportunity to coach several Olympians, national and conference champions, All-American and all-conference performers.
He earned his master of arts in physical education from Northern Arizona University in 2000. While working on his master’s degree, Dominick served as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Lumberjacks. He earned his bachelor of science in biological sciences from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1996. Dominick has been a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association since 2000.
Originally from Grand Island, Nebraska, he and his wife Debbie have five children - Mariann, Aron, Alonzo, Lawrance and RJ.
