At Washburn: Will compete for time on the defensive line entering his redshirt freshman season.
In 2013: Sat out the season as a redshirt.
Background: As a freshman he was a starter on the offensive and defensive lines … as a sophomore he was a varsity starters as the Thunderbirds won the district championship and was the regional runner-ups … as a junior he was named to the all-city team and an all-state honorable mention selection winning another district title with a regional runner-up appearance … his senior season he was named to the Topeka Capital Journal’s Top 11 team as well as earning 5A all-state defensive line honors and second team all-league defensive line honors as the Thunderbirds won the district championship.
Personal: Son of Avalon and Timothy Bell … father Tim played football at Washburn … uncle Veryl Switzer played for Kansas State and the Green Bay Packers … cousin Mervi played for Kansas State and the Buffalo Bills … undecided on major.
