At Washburn: Will compete for time on special teams and in the defensive secondary after playing in 11 games as a junior.

In 2015: Appeared in 11 games and recorded a career-high 10 tackles at Emporia State … finished the season with 21 tackles with 13 solo stops … also had a fumble recovery against Pittsburg State.

Background: Had 47 tackles as a sophomore adding three interceptions with a forced fumble … as a senior won state titles in 100-meters, 200-meters and 400-meter dashes … rushed for 1,654 yards and 34 total touchdowns also recording 60 tackles and two interceptions …as a senior winning state championship …as a junior rushed for 1,550 yards and 29 total touchdowns … helped basketball team to 49-2 record as junior and senior with back to back second place finishes … named Hutchinson News Area Male Athlete of the Year.

Personal: Son of Kevin and Debbie Wiens ... sister Tarah is a redshirt freshman on the Ichabod volleyball team … brother Tanner played football at Hutchinson CC and Fort Hays State … father played football at Tabor College and mother played volleyball at Tabor College.
