Background: A first-team all-league pick and was named the league's offensive player of the year and a first-team all-state selection and was the KMZU class 4A/5A offensive player of the year and team MVP and was selection the Simone Award winner runner up after rushing for 2,485 yards recording 3,000 all-purpose yards with 38 touchdowns … as a junior he was a first-team all-league pick and a second team all-Examiner selection finishing with 550 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns … also participated in track and field.
