Background: As a senior in cross country, she earned all-state honors and finished fourth at the state meet as team won state championship … finished second in the mile at the state track and field meet and third in the 3200m run … was also a first team all-league pick in basketball … as a junior she took eighth at the state cross country meet earning all-state honors and finished fourth in the 3200m run at state and seventh in the 1600m run … named first team all-league in basketball … named second team all-league in basketball as a sophomore and was honorable mention all-league as a freshman … also on Ichabod cross country and track and field teams.
Personal: Daughter of David and Leslie Mortensen … majoring in nursing.
