Background: As a senior he was one of 11 players in the state to be named a McDonald's All-American Nominee … broke the Marquette High School single season scoring record with 47 points  … an all-state, all-league and all-district selection after averaging 21.3 ppg with 5.7 rpg, 4.0 apg and 1.7 spg helping team to a district championship …  as a junior he eclipsed the career 1,000-point scoring mark and became the school's all-time assist leader earning all-district honors …was a first-team all-league selection and all-district pick … as a freshman he was an honorable mention all-league pick and an all-district selection.

Personal: Son of Malachi and Stephanie Owen … a sister, Bailey … his mom played basketball at Missouri Baptist … plans to major in business or marketing.
