Washburn University Athletics

Bobby Chipman is in his second season on the Ichabod bench as a graduate assistant coach after wrapping up his playing career at Washburn running from 2009 to 2013. During his career he started 79 of 114 games averaging 6.2 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. His 94 career blocks is third all-time on the Ichabod chart and his 570 rebounds is seventh all-time at Washburn. His senior season he had career-bests of 9.3 ppg and 7.8 rpg en route to honorable mention all-MIAA honors as well as being named to the MIAA’s all-defensive team. As a junior he was an honorable mention all-MIAA pick after scoring 7.3 points adding 5.8 rebounds per game. 

In the classroom he was a four-time member of the MIAA’s Academic Honor Roll and was a two-time selection to the MIAA’s Scholar athlete honor roll. He also became the first Ichabod to receive CoSIDA Academic All-District honors as a senior.

He was named the Ichabod Student-Athlete of the Year as a senior.

He graduated with his degree in accounting and is attending the Washburn Law School pursuing his Juris Doctorate and the Master of Business Administration in the dual program.
