Nick Ferrarini

Nick Ferrarini is in his first season as an assistant coach on the Ichabod coaching staff after serving as an assistant basketball coach at Colorado State University Pueblo, where he joined the staff in 2023. He worked in scouting, recruiting, and on-court player development playing a key role in helping the ThunderWolves qualify for the conference tournament in 2023-24—the program’s first appearance since 2016-17.

Before joining CSU Pueblo, Ferrarini coached the sophomore summer team at Millard North High School in Omaha from 2018 to 2022, assisting with varsity skill development under head coaches Tim Cannon and Mike Etzelmiller. He also served as an assistant coach for Omaha Sports Academy’s 15U Adidas Gauntlet (now 3SSB) team in 2018, where he was heavily involved in practice planning, individual skill work, and in-game adjustments. In addition, he worked on the staff of the Creighton University Basketball Camp from 2018 to 2022, gaining experience in player instruction, team coaching, and game officiating.

As a player, Ferrarini enjoyed a successful college basketball career. He began at Wayne State College, where he scored 1,027 points and helped the Wildcats to two NSIC South Division Championships (2019, 2023) under head coach Jeff Kaminsky. He also played two seasons at the University of Nebraska Omaha for head coach Derrin Hansen, where he tallied 324 points and averaged 8.5 points per game. 

Ferrarini earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Wayne State College, where he completed his degree in 2023.
