Started 32 of 33 games and averaged 10.2 points per game earning honorable mention all-MIAA honors … he led the team with 119 assists averaging 3.6 per game which was seventh in the MIAA … his assist to turnover ratio was fifth in the MIAA … scored a career-high 18 points three times … was 127 of 265 from the field for a 48 percent average and hit 29 of 72 3-point attempts.

Averaged 8.7 points a game during his sophomore season at Southwest Tennessee Community College to go along with 3.9 assists, 2.9 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game en route to second team all-Tennessee Community College Athletics Association honors … he was sixth in the conference in assists as a sophomore and his team’s fourth-leading scorer. Mitchell scored a career-high 27 points against Cleveland State and nearly recorded a triple double with 14 points, nine rebounds and nine assists against Clarkview Academy … played the 2008-09 season at Henderson State University where he led the team in scoring averaging 10.5 points per game.
