Biography

At Washburn: Has the fifth and sixth-fastest times in the indoor 1000m in program history.

In 2019 (cross country): Recorded a career-best time on an 8K course at the MIAA Cross Country Championships with a 61st-place finish in a time of 26:48.20 … finished 32nd at the Bearcat Invitational in a time of 26:41.40 on the 7K course … (track) Sat out the indoor season and had outdoor season canceled due to COVID19 outbreak.

In 2018-19 (cross country): Participated in three meets recording a 7K time of 24:46.54 at the SBU Invitational and had his best time in an 8K event at 29:03.7 at the MIAA Championships placing 88th overall … (Track and field): Competed in only the Tjeerdsma Classic in the indoor season where he finished second in the mile in a time of 4:25.09.

In 2017-18: As a member of the Ichabod cross country team he placed a season-best 39th at the Rim Rock Classic in Lawrence recording his best 8K time of 29:10.7 … finished second in the 1000m run at the Bob Timmons Challenge at Kansas in a time of 2:37.43 which was the third-fastest time in program history …  finished 10th in the 1500m run in the outdoor season in a time of 4:07.36 for the eighth-fastest time in program history.

Background: Finished fourth at the state track and field meet in the 800 as a senior and then placed fifth in the 800 as a junior after taking sixth as a sophomore in the same event … also part of second place 4x800m relay team.

Personal: Son of Ken and Julie Kerr … majoring in secondary education with biology emphasis.
