Background: As a senior in cross county he placed second at the state track and field meet and in track he was the regional champion in the 1600m, 3200m and part of the 4x800m team and was the state champion in the 3200m finishing second in the 1600m and third in the 800m helping team to 4x800m title earning all-state honors in all four events … cross country team won state title as a senior and a junior and the track championship his senior season … as a junior he finished sixth at the state cross country meet and finished second in the 3200m, fourth in the 1600m and was part of 4x800m relay title team at the state meet earning all-state honors as team won state cross country title … finished 17th at the state cross country meet as a sophomore and finished fifth in the 3200m and second on the 4x800m team … as a freshman he was 13th at the state meet earning all-state honors and was seventh in the 3200m at the state meet.

Personal: Son of Cody and Amy Burkdoll … a brother, Luke … a sister, Lily … majoring in kinesiology.
