Background: As a junior he picked up four wins including the city championships earning first team all-city and first team all-league as well as second team all-state … his sophomore season he was a second team all-state selection and first team all-city and all-league … as a freshman he was a first team all-league and all-city pick as well as honorable mention all-state … a member of the Kansas Junior Golf team in the Kansas/Nebraska Cup … also played soccer.
