Washburn University Athletics

In 2024-25: Competed in eight events as a freshman placing 11th in the decathlon scoring a personal best 4,384 points setting a personal best time/mark in seven events including placing third in the pole vault at the MIAA Championships … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

Background: Four-year letterwinner for the Goddard Lions track and field team where he made two appearances at state in pole vault … also a three-year letterwinner in bowling, making an appearance at state as a senior.
 
Personal: Son of Robin Burbach and Ryan Schwerdtfeger and stepfather Nick Burbach … has three brothers, Luke Schwerdtfeger, Cameron Bahns, and Rory Burbach … majoring in nursing.
