At Washburn: Has competed in 34 events overall … has the fourth-best individual performance in the indoor 200m in program history, the sixth-best 400m time and the the 10th-best time in the 60m … during the outdoor slate he has the seventh-best individual performance in the 100m, the fifth-best 400m time and the sixth-best mark in the 200m.

In 2024-25: Competed in nine events scoring five team points as part of the 4x100m relay team at the MIAA Championships … had a personal best of 10.62 in the 100m at the ESU Relays.

In 2023-24: Competed in 11 events helping Ichabods' 4x100m relay to a fourth-place finish at the MIAA Outdoor Championship and the 4x100m relay school-record holding team in a time of 40.47.

In 2022-23: Competed in 14 events recording seven top-10 events during the indoor and outdoor seasons … recorded the second-best individual performance in the 200m at the Washburn Rust Buster in a time of 21.78 and his 50.06 time in the 400m at the indoor WU Mid-Week Challenge is the third-best time in program history … during the outdoor season he recorded the seventh-best individual performance in the 100m at 10.74 while also recording the fourth-best mark in the 200m in a time of 21.84 with another top time in the 400m in a time of 49.83 ranking second all-time.

Background: A transfer from Hutchinson Community College where he helped the 4x400m qualify to the national indoor and outdoor championships … had a personal best int he 100m at 10.90 and in the 200m at 22.13 … had a personal best time of 7.11 in the 60m at the Ichabod Invite … at Shawnee Heights he finished second in the 100m and first in the 200m at the state championships in 2019 winning the regional meet in both events … he placed fourth in th 200m and seventh in the 100m at the state meet in 2018 … 

Personal: Son of Dejuan Sr. and Junno Gardenhire … a sister, Deja … a brother Dejuan, Jr. … majoring in computer science.
