At Washburn: Has competed in 20 events overall … was the 2025 MIAA Outdoor Decathlon Champion … has the second-best individual total in the heptathlon and the decathlon in program history … a two-time all-MIAA honoree … a three-time member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

In 2024-25: Won the MIAA Outdoor Championship in the decathlon with a personal best 6,576 points earning all-MIAA honors and was third in the heptathlon at the MIAA Indoor Championships with a personal best 5,174 points to earn all-MIAA accolades … competed in 11 events overall … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

In 2023-24: Competed in nine events in his first year as an Ichabod … scored a team point after finishing eighth at the MIAA Indoor Championships in the heptathlon with a personal best 4,646 points … was second in the decathlon at the ESU Midwest Classic with a personal best 6,049 points … was seventh in the 110m hurdles at the SBU Invitational in a personal best time of 15.49 … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

Background: Ranked sixth as a senior in the Central Texas region in the 110m hurdles after placing sixth at the regional meet … as a junior he finished second in the district in the high jump and placed fifth in both the 110m hurdles and 300m hurdles.

Personal: Son of Jay and Ann Marie Hannon McGilton and Carrie McGilton … a sister, Zoe … his father ran track and the University of Nebraska … majoring in liberal studies.
