Biography

At Washburn: Has the fifth-best 600y individual performance in the 600y in program history … has the fifth-best outdoor individual performance in the 400m in program history and part of the 4x400m relay school-record holding team for both indoor and outdoor … a two-time member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

In 2024-25: Competed in 11 events recording a personal best in the 200m at the ESU Relays opening the outdoor season … part of the sixth-place 4x400m relay team at the MIAA Indoor Championships and the MIAA Outdoor Championships setting an Ichabod indoor record … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

In 2023-24: Competed in 12 events  and had a personal best time in the 600y at the Ichabod Invitational in a time of 1:17.47 … part of the eighth-place team at the MIAA Indoor Championships in the DMR to score a team point … had a personal best in the outdoor 200m at the SBU Invitational in a time of 22.68 … part of the third-place 4x400m relay team at the MIAA Outdoor Championships to earn all-MIAA honors and part of 4x400m indoor relay team that set school record at the MIAA indoor Championships … recorded a personal best in the outdoor 400m at the Loper Twilight in a time of 49.91 … a member of the MIAA Academic and MIAA Scholar Athlete Honor Rolls.

Background: A transfer from Cowley County where he finished 15th at the regional indoor meet and set a personal best at the Washburn All-Kansas Invite in the 600-yard as a sophomore … finished ninth at the state championship meet as a junior and was part of the eighth-place 4x400m team at the state meet as a junior.

Personal: Son of Frank and Summer Garcia … majoring in criminal justice.
