Biography
At Washburn: Has competed in seven total events as an Ichabod.
In 2024-25: (cross country) Competed in four events during the season finishing a season-best 37th at the JK Gold Classic in a time of 19:21.9 on the 6K course … had a season-best 8K time of 26:01.1 at the Lewis Crossover (track) sat out the outdoor season after competing in three events during the indoor season with a season-best 11th-place finish in the 800m at the Washburn Rust Buster.
Background: At Iowa Central he was an All-American in both track and field and cross country as a sophomore finishing 80th at the NJCAA National Championships and was 11th at the regional championships also finishing 21st at the NJCAA Half Marathon Championships … finished 19th in the 800m at the indoor national championships and was part of third-place-finishing 4x800m relay team … also earned All-American honors as a freshman in track and field and cross country as team finished second at cross country nationals.
Personal: Son of Alpha Wright, Jr. and Nana Asahi … majoring in kinesiology.
