At Washburn: Competed in 33 events … has the seventh-best individual mark in the indoor pole vault and the fifth-best mark in the outdoor pole vault in program history … a four-time member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

In 2024-24: Scored a point at the MIAA Indoor Championships finishing eighth in the pole vault … competed in six events all during the indoor season … finished fourth in two different events during the season … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

In 2023-24: Competed in 14 events during the season … had a career-best height in the pole vault clearing 4.80m (15-09.00) to finish seventh at the Concordia Twilight during the outdoor season … had a personal best in the javelin of 46.97 finishing eighth at the Alex Francis Classic … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll. 

In 2022-23: Scored team points in the MIAA Outdoor Championships with his seventh-place finish in the pole vault recording an outdoor personal best with a mark of 4.66m (15-03.50) … had a season-best fourth-place finish during the outdoor season at the ESU Midwest Classic … finished second in his collegiate debut during the WU Alumni Invitational with an indoor-best of 4.41m (14-05.50) … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

Background: Won the Oklahoma 5A State championship as a senior while also winning the regional meet … was the AAU National runner-up … also was part of swimming and cross country teams and played football as well.

Personal: Son of Mistina Merwin … a kinesiology major.
