Biography

At Washburn: Has competed in 52 events as an Ichabod … has the school record in the outdoor high jump at 2.14m (7-00.25) and has the top four jumps during the outdoor season … also has the school record in the indoor high jump at 2.11m (6-11.00) and the top 13 jumps in school history … a nine-time member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

In 2021-22: Finished fourth at the MIAA Outdoor Championships and sixth at the MIAA Indoor Championships … picked up individual title at Washburn Alumni Invitational to open the season and had six top-five showings … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

In 2020-21: Won the opening meet of the season at the MIAA Rust Buster with a mark of 2.04m (6-08.25) for his season's best jump … finished sixth at the MIAA Indoor Championships and placed fourth at the SBU Invite in his only outdoor competition of the season … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

In 2019-20: Named All-MIAA after recording a second-place finish at the MIAA Indoor Championships … won the Tjeerdsma Classic and the Bearcat Open during the indoor season … had a season-best mark at 2.08m (6-09.75) … a MIAA Scholar Athlete and an MIAA Academic Honor Roll member.

In 2018-19: Earned All-American status in the high jump at the NCAA Indoor Championships with an eighth-place finish with a mark of 2.04m (6-08.25) … won the Lion Open with a mark of 2.06m and the Tjeerdsma Classic with a mark of 2.04m both during the indoor season … became the first Ichabod to clear at least seven feet with he won the West Texas A&M Classic with a jump of 2.14m (7-00.25) … also won the ESU Relays … finished foruth at the MIAA Outdoor Championships and qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships taking 18th overall with a mark of 1.99m… a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

In 2017-18: Took fourth place in the MIAA Indoor Championships with a PR of 2.06m (6-09) … also finished fourth at the ESU outdoor meet and an indoor-best mark of 2.01m (6-07) at the Dodds Invitational … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

Background: Finished third at state track and field meet in the high jump clearing 6-8 as a senior … placed second in high jump at league championships as a junior with a 6-6 mark and as sophomore he cleared 6-4 placing sixth at league meet.

Personal: Son of Steve and Margaret Haug … has graduated with kinesiology degree … working on masters degree.
