In 2017-18: Will compete in the multi events after wrapping up his football career after the 2016 season.

In 2016: As a member of the Ichabod football team he started 11 games at safety and recoded 52 tackles with 23 solo stops along with three interceptions racking up 40 return yards with 12 pass break ups and a fumble recovery … competed in two events during the outdoor track and field season finishing a season-best 16th in the 100m in a time of 10.85.

In 2015: Appeared in 11 games and recorded a career-high 10 tackles at Emporia State … finished the season with 21 tackles with 13 solo stops … also had a fumble recovery against Pittsburg State.

Background: Had 47 tackles as a sophomore adding three interceptions with a forced fumble … as a senior won state titles in 100-meters, 200-meters and 400-meter dashes … rushed for 1,654 yards and 34 total touchdowns also recording 60 tackles and two interceptions …as a senior winning state championship …as a junior rushed for 1,550 yards and 29 total touchdowns … helped basketball team to 49-2 record as junior and senior with back to back second place finishes … named Hutchinson News Area Male Athlete of the Year.

Personal: Son of Kevin and Debbie Wiens ... sister Tarah is also a member of the Ichabod track and field team … brother Tanner played football at Hutchinson CC and Fort Hays State … father played football at Tabor College and mother played volleyball at Tabor College.
