Miranda Gil is in her second season as an assistant coach on the Washburn Ichabod softball staff starting prior to the 2021-22 season.
The native Californian pitched at Citrus College in Glendora, California where she earned WSC Blue Division Pitcher of the Year honors and California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association All-State honors as a pitcher while recording a .322 batting average with 10 home runs and 34 RBI.Â
In 2015, she coached at her alma mater, Oak Hills High School and was the junior varsity head coach. After the season was over, she moved to Kansas and started teaching individual pitching and hitting lessons.
Gil works at Topeka West High School after completing her bachelor's degree in special education at Fort Hays State in December of 2022.
