Taylor Horak

Former Ichabod softball player Taylor (Kirk) Horak moved from a student assistant coach in the fall of 2019 to a full-time assistant coach on the Washburn staff prior to the 2020 season entering her fifth season on the Ichabod bench entering the 2024 season.

While at Washburn, Kirk played in 106 games in two seasons starting 105 games earning first team all-MIAA honors as a senior at shortstop and was a second team all-MIAA pick as a utility player as a junior after transferring from Johnson County Community College. Overall she finished with a .309 matting average with 26 home runs, 101 hits and 70 runs scored while driving in 92. At JCCC, she batted .326 and was a first team all-district and all-conference selection finishing in the top 15 in the nation in home runs. The Rossville, Kan., native was a four-year starter and a three-time all-state selection.
