Background: Finished the season 10-3 overall going 6-1 in conference play with a 1.64 ERA with a .99 WHIP striking out 7.42 per 7 innings pitched as a sophomore earning first-team all-region honors for the Eagles as well as winning the NJCAA Pitcher of the Week, a two-time conference pitcher of the week and an academic first-team selection … as a freshman, she was 10-5 with a 2.94 ERA and a 1.20 WHIP striking out 6.91 per 7 innings pitched with academic honors as well … at Mount Vernon High School, she was a first-team all-league selection as a junior and was named the league player of the year, a first-team all-district and all-state pick and named to the all-tournament team at the state championships … as a senior season she repeated as a first-team all-league and league player of the year honors as well as first-team all-state and all-district honors.
