As a Freshman in 2010
Started all 50 games recording a .290 batting average with 47 hits and 38 runs scored, which was second on the team … also recorded eight doubles, four home runs and 21 RBI … led the Lady Blues outfielders with four assists … finished the season with six stolen bases in eight attempts … recorded a season-high three hits against Southeastern Oklahoma on Feb. 27 and against Pittsburg State on April 9 … recorded the game-winning RBIs and her first collegiate home run in the top of the  eighth with a 2-run blast against Wayne State … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll

Earned first team all-Kaw Valley League as a freshman, junior and senior seasons … a first team all-area pick by the Lawrence Journal World the same three seasons … a Kansas City Metro second team all-area pick as a junior and a second team selection as a senior … earned first team all-state honors as a junior and senior … was a perfect 32 for 32 in stolen base attempts as a junior.

Born May 10, 1991 … daughter of Mike and Debbie Himpel … older sister Lindsey is a junior on the Lady Blues softball team … majoring in nursing.
