Biography

As a Junior in 2013
Earned first team American Volleyball Coaches Association All-America and honorable mention Daktronics All-America as a rightside hitter...named first team all-region by both those organizations...also named first team all-MIAA and was named the MIAA hitter of the week five times...finished the year with a .325 career attack percentage, the third highest career percentage in Washburn history...finished first in the MIAA with a .337 attack percentage and third with 3.69 kills a set...reached double figures in kills 29 times...had a season-high 25 kills in four sets at Lindenwood on November 15 and hit .478 that match...hit .450 or better 10 times with a season-high .818 attack percentage on November 2 against Southern Arkansas...she had nine kills with no errors in 11 attempts that match...she opened the season with a .682 attack percentage against Cedarville on September 6...she had 15 kills and no errors in 22 attempts that match to tie for the fourth highest attack percentage in a Washburn match with at least 20 attempts.

As a Sophomore in 2012
Earned all-MIAA honorable mention...played in all 35 matches with 32 starts as a middle hitter...hit .351, second best on the team and third in the MIAA...led the team with 104 total blocks and 0.87 per set...averaged 2.38 kills and 2.95 points a set...had nine double-figure kill matches with four of them coming in the final five matches of the year...had a season-high 27 kills November 13 against Fort Hays State in the first round of the MIAA tournament...she had the last six points of the first set and had just two errors to hit .641 in the match...that was the highest attack percentage in school history for anyone with 30 or more attempts and the 27 kills was the third highest total in a four-set match at Washburn...she hit .450 or better 14 times including seven matches where she hit over .600...had a season-high nine blocks on October 6 in a win over Harding and had five blocks or more six times.

As a Freshman in 2011
Played in 34 matches with two starts and in 87 total sets as a middle hitter...had 113 total kills to average 1.30 per set and hit .223 on the year...had 48 blocks to average 0.55 a set...finished with 1.67 points per set...had a season-high nine kills on September 23 against Truman...hit .600 that match with no errors in 15 attempts...that was her highest attack percentage in a match in which she had 10 attempts or more...had a season-high five blocks three times including once in Washburn’s match against No. 20 Angelo State on October 1.

Central Heights High School (Richmond, Kan.)
A 2011 graduate of Central Heights High School...she finished her career with over 1,400 kills, 1,100 assists, 890 blocks and 800 digs...was a four-time all-area and all-conference selection and a two-time first team all-state honoree...was also a three-time all-area selection in basketball and an all-academic team member in addition to winning a state championship in the shot put.

Personal
Daughter of Clara and Tom Cox...majoring in secondary education...her older sister Mandi played for the Lady Blues from 2004-07.
