Appeared in 27 games making 17 starts collecting a walk while batting and was 1-5 in the circle in 28 innings pitched with 12 strikeouts … named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll and an MIAA Academic Excellence award winner.
As a freshman in 2014
Earned second team all-MIAA honors as a utility/pitcher after starting all 43 games leading the team with 151 at bats collecting 42 hits with eight home runs adding 32 RBI and 31 runs scored … tied a Washburn record with six at-bats and against Missouri Southern and four runs scored against Texas A&M-International … led the Ichabods with nine wins in the circle and a 4.61 earned run average … also named to the all-MIAA Honor Roll, the MIAA Academic Excellence Award and the MIAA Scholar Athlete Award.
Background
As a senior she was 5-0 with a 0.54 earned run average and batted .488 with 41 hits and 43 RBI scoring 31 runs leading the Junior Blues to a second place state finish … she was named first team all-league, all-city, all-state and second team all-region … as a junior she was a first team all-league, all-city and second team all-state pick after recording 38 hits with 15 runs scored and 25 RBI batting .507 going 4-1 in the circle as Washburn Rural won the league and region titles … as a sophomore she had 27 plate appearances scoring eight runs as the Junior Blues finished second in the state tournament winning the league and regional championships … club team won two USSSA state championships and recorded a top-eight finish at the Colorado Sparkler tournament.Â

Daughter of Tim and Kristi Carson … majoring in kinesiology … brother Tyler played football at Independence Community College and her mother played volleyball at Colby Community College.
