Brittney Lynch ended her basketball playing career in 2013-14 and will begin her first season as a student assistant coach in 2014-15.
Lynch scored 488 points and averaged 6.0 a game during her three years from 2011-12 to 2013-14. She also averaged 5.1 rebounds a game and shot .501 from the field.
She earned third team all-MIAA and a spot on the MIAA all-defensive team in 2013-14 after averaging nearly a double-double with 10.4 points and 9.2 rebounds a game. She shot .534 from the field that year and blocked 17 shots.
Lynch will finish her bachelor’s degree in accounting as she coaches. She’s a graduate of Elkhorn High School in Elkhorn, Nebraska, and she was an all-state player her final two years as she averaged over 15 points a game both years.
