Stormye Everett finished her playing career last year and will begin 2013-14 as her first season as a student assistant on the Washburn bench.
Everett averaged 5.5 points and 3.3 rebounds in 46 games in her two years as a Lady Blue. She finished second on the team last year with 57 assists and averaged 1.4 per game in her career.
While coaching, Everett will work with film breakdown and recruiting and assist with practice. She will also continue to work toward her degree in human services at Washburn with an empasis in youth services.
Everett is a graduate of Overland High School in Aurora, Colo., and she attended Western Nebraska Community College for two seasons from 2008-10.
