Todd Stutzman will be in his third season with Washburn in 2017-18.
Prior to joining the Washburn staff, Stutzman spent six years working with NCAA Division I basketball programs, most recently at Stephen F. Austin as the director operations for the 2014-15 season. Before taking over the operations position, Stutzman was video coordinator with the program. He also served as an interim assistant coach with SFA, during a transitional period. Stutzman will lead the Ichabod women’s junior varsity program while assisting on the varsity team as well.
At SFA, Stutzman’s duties included coordinating team travel, scheduling practice times and non-conference opponents, planning and implementing yearly budgets for the women’s basketball program, working with the Purple Pride Fastbreak Booster Club and oversight of managers, video coordinators and student assists. He also assisted in recruiting efforts and worked closely with summer basketball camps at the University. In his video coordinator role, Stutzman handled game film breakdown, scouting and assisting with practice for the Lady Jacks.
Before arriving at SFA, Stutzman spent one year as a graduate assistant manager at the University of Memphis. While there his primary responsibilities included assisting with day-to-day operations, organizing and assisting with film exchange, cutting and editing film, assisting with scouting opponents, helping with practices and supervising summer basketball camps.
Stutzman earned his bachelor’s degree in liberal arts and sciences with a minor in business from The University of Kansas in 2011. During his time at KU he was a student manager for the women’s basketball program from 2009-11. He completed a summer internship with the KU athletic department in equipment management and was a camp supervisor with Bill Self Basketball Camps in 2011. He also received an associate of arts degree from Hesston College (Kan.) in 2008.
A native of Hesston, Kansas, Stutzman attended Hesston High School. He received a Master’s of Interdisciplinary Studies degree from SFA.
