Biography

At Washburn: Has competed in 54 events between cross country and track … the school record holder in the indoor 800m and has  third-best individual performance in the indoor mile with the top 10 individual times in the 800m … has the school record in the outdoor 800m and 1500m and the ninth-fastest time in the 400m as well as eight of the top 10 fastest individual times in the outdoor 800m … overall a four-time all-MIAA performer … an eight-time member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll and three-time MIAA Scholar Athlete.

In 2024-25 (cross country): Competed in five events during the season leading the Ichabods in two of those including the NCAA Central Regional in a time of 22:15.1 finishing 47th overall … placed 23rd at the MIAA Championships in a time of 22:21.5 … (track) competed in nine events during the track season earning all-MIAA honors in the indoor 800m finishing second and was part of the sixth-place distance medley relay team at the same event … broke her own school record in the 800m indoor at the Arkansas Qualifier in a time of 2:09.13 … an NCAA Indoor Championship qualifier finishing 14th in the 800m … placed seventh in the outdoor 800m at the MIAA Championships … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll and an MIAA Scholar Athlete.

In 2023-24 (cross country): Led the Ichabods with a 42nd-place finish at the NCAA Central Regional in a time of 22:04.2 with a personal best 6K time … finished 22nd at the MIAA Championships in a time of 22:36.2 … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll … (track): won two events during the indoor and outdoor season … scored 14 points at the MIAA Indoor Championships after finishing second in the 800m setting a school-record in a time of 2:10.73 and then finished third in the mile earning all-MIAA honors in both … set the outdoor 1500m school record at the WashU Distance Carnival in a time of 4:33.57 finishing fourth and was 11th at the Bryan Clay Invitational in the 800 setting a school record with a time of 2:09.31 … was all-MIAA in the 1500m at the MIAA Outdoor Championships … a USTFCCA all-region selection in both the indoor and outdoor 800m … a three-time member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

In 2022-23: (cross country): Led the Ichabods in her first collegiate race finishing seventh overall at the Bearcat Open … finished 80th at the MSSU Stampede with a career-low time of 19:09.90 on a 5K course … (track): part of the third-place all-MIAA team in the DMR setting a school record by 38 seconds … set a school record in the 800m during the indoor season at the Ichabod Invitational in a time of 2:16.18 … had 10 top-10 finishes overall … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

Background: As a senior she was part of a state qualifying team and had a best three mile time of 19:20.7 … as a junior she recorded times of 1:01.11 in the 400m outdoor and 2:31.29 in the 800m outdoor.

Personal: Daughter of Scott and Debbie Fontaine … two sisters, Stephanie and Sydney … an occupational therapy assistant major.
