Background: As a senior at Washburn Rural, she finished 17th in the Class 6A state tournament with a 36-hole score of 166 (83-83), earning her second-straight 6A state medal and leading Rural to a fourth-place team finish … was an all-city and all-state pick in track … tied for seventh at regionals (85), tied for fifth in the city meet (83) and was 13th in the Centennial League (89) and was a two-time all-Shawnee County first-team golfer earning all-state honorable mention … as a junior she was an all-city pick and was honorable mention all-state and was a state qualifier in track … as a sophomore she helped golf team to a second-place state finish and was the city and regional champion in the discus medaling at the state meet … her freshman season she was the city runner up, the league and regional champion in the discus qualifying for the state meet earning all-city honors.
