As a junior in 2024: Started 21 matches, playing 1,123 minutes … scored three goals and added one assist … all three goals were game-winning goals, tying for 7th in program history in game-winning goals in a season … took a career-high seven shots against Missouri Southern on October 11 … selected to All-MIAA First Team … named to MIAA All-Tournament Team … earned selection to D2CCA All-Central Region Second Team … named to MIAA Academic Honor Roll

In 2023: Played and started in 25 matches accruing 1,512 minutes on the year ... scored three goals and dished one assist while taking 31 total shots with 20 going on goal ... recorded her first career assist against Northwest Missouri State on October 8 ... was named an All-MIAA first team selection and was a second team USC Central Region member ... named to MIAA Academic Honor Roll  

In 2022: Played in 16 games while starting in all 16 … played 1,014 minutes on the year … scored six goals on the year on 29 shots and 18 shots on goal … scored first career goal and had first multi-goal game against William Jewell on Aug. 28 … had three multi-goal games on the year …  had three game-winning goals … named to the All-MIAA third team … member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.  

Background: Played at Washburn Rural High School and lettered in soccer all four seasons …  she helped the Junior Blues to a state championship her freshman year  … her sophomore campaign was canceled due to COVID-19 … in her junior year, she earned 6A Midfielder of the Year and First Team All-State and first team all-city after leading the team in goals and assists … as a senior she was team captain and named First Team All-State and was named the Centennial League Player of the Year and senior midfield player of the year and to the United Soccer Coaches All-Central Region team as well as being named the USA Today Northeast Soccer Player of the Year.
 
Personal: Daughter of Ashley Kennedy-Cooney and David Cooney … has one brother, Bradley Cooney … plans to major in biology.
