As a Senior in Fall 2011
Went 3-2 in tournament singles … won the “C” singles consolation at the Washburn Invitational … went 2-3 in tournament doubles … teamed with Jessica Blackim to reach the semifinal of the Bethany Invitational in “A” doubles.

As a Junior in 2010-11
Named first team all-MIAA in No. 1 doubles and second team all-MIAA in No. 5 singles … finished with a 15-8 overall singles record going 11-5 in duals, 4-3 in tournaments, and 6-1 in MIAA matches … placed second in the “B” singles flight at the Bethany College Tournament … finished with an 18-8 overall record in doubles including 11-6 in duals, 7-2 in tournaments, and 7-1 in MIAA matches … teamed with Jamie Blackim to win the “B” doubles flight at the Bethany College Invitational.

As a Sophomore in 2009-10
Selected first team all-MIAA at No. 4 singles after going 15-9 overall during the season … named to the all-MIAA second team at No. 1 doubles finishing with a 15-10 record.

As a Freshman in 2008-09
Earned first team all-MIAA honors at No. 2 doubles after going 12-8 during the season … awarded honorable mention all-MIAA at No. 4 singles after recording a 12-7 record during the season.

Background
Castillo played No. 1 singles and doubles while at James Madison High School … named team MVP following her sophomore, junior and senior seasons and was a three time all-city honoree … she has been in the top 20 percent of her age group since the age of 13.

Personal
Born June 23, 1990 … daughter of Ruben and Sylvia Castillo … majoring in psychology … her sister Kris was a four-year letterwinner for the Lady Blues from 2001-04.
