Biography
At Washburn: Competed in 24 events as an Ichabod … a four-time all-MIAA honoree and two-time all-region pick … has the second-fastest individual performance in the 60m and owns the school record in the 200m during the indoor season and the second-best 100m and 200m times and part of the school-record holding 4x100m relay team during the outdoor season.
In 2024-25: Competed in 12 events qualifying for both the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor National Championships in the 60m and the 100m and 4x100m respectively … earned all-MIAA honors after finishing second in the 100m at the MIAA Outdoor Championships while also finishing seventh in the 200m and was part of the 4x100m relay team that finished second … finished third in the 60m and was also third in the 200m at the MIAA Indoor Championships earning all-MIAA in both … a two-time USTFCCCA all-region selection.
In 2023-24: Finished fourth at the MIAA Outdoor Championships with a personal best time of 11.71 and was second at the Kansas Relays in the 100m in a time of 11.78 … placed seventh at the MIAA Indoor Championships in the 60m … part of the third-place 4x100m relay team at the MIAA Outdoor Championships in a school record time of 45.83.
Background: As a senior she finished second at the state meet in the 100m winning the regional recording the fastest times in the 100m in Shawnee County and the second-fastest time in the 200m in the county … finished second in the 100m at the state meet as a junior and was part of 4x100m relay team that finished second at the state meet.
Personal: Daughter of Rhonda Nichols … two sisters, Tasha and Ta’Jha … a brother, Taijh … sister Ta’Jha played softball at Coffeyville Community College … majoring in sports management.
