Washburn University Athletics

Heather Schemper joins the Washburn coaching staff in 2025 as a student assistant after spending the past two seasons in uniform. She joined the Ichabods in 2023 before missing the season due to injury. In 2024 she played in 13 matches making two starts and recording 31 kills while hitting .135 and adding 12 blocks. She missed the end of the 2024 season due to injury. 

Schemper was a two-time member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll as a player and is from Phillipsburg, Kan. She is working towards her degree in kinesiology.
