Rachel Robertson starts her first college coaching position in 2013 as she joins the Washburn staff as a graduate assistant. She just finished a playing career where she was named the Lone Star Conference offensive player of the year in 2012 as a middle hitter at Texas A&M-Commerce.
Robertson graduated in the spring of 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and she will work toward a master’s in the field at Washburn.
She earned first team all-Lone Star Conference in 2011 and 2012 and second team all-conference in 2010. She started all four years for the Lions from 2009-12 and finished her career with 1,359 kills. She led the LSC in 2012 in attack percentage (.377), kills per set (3.80) and points per set (4.48).
Robertson coached the Madfrog Volleyball Club 11-year-old national team as an assistant in 2012.
She’s a native of Princeton, Texas, and a 2009 graduate of Princeton High School.
