Washburn University Athletics

Falan Ryan joined the Washburn Sports Medicine staff in August of 2024 after completing her Master of Athletic Training at The University of Nebraska at Kearney earlier that year. She also earned her Bachelor of Science from Nebraska at Kearney in May 2023, graduating as an exercise science major with a minor in athletic training. She will work with the volleyball, cross country and track & field teams at Washburn. 

While at The University of Nebraska at Kearney she spent time working with football, men's basketball, men's and women's track and field an men's and women's tennis teams. She spent two years working at the UNK Student Athletic Training Injury Clinic developing injury evaluation skill and working with patients to crate rehab plans. Ryan has also spent time working with Grand Island Northwest High School and Kearney Legion Baseball in 2023. 

Ryan was a state representative for the UNK Athletic Trainers Student Association for two years while also serving as a district representative for the NSATA for one year. She was named the Athletic Training Student of the Year for 2023-24 at the UNK Academic Awards. 

The Ansley, Nebraska native is a member of the National Athletic Trainer's Association.
