Washburn University Athletics

Aaron Siebenthall joined the Washburn Athletic department and the Alumni Association and Foundation team on December 8, 2025.

Siebenthall comes to Washburn from Faith Technologies, where he served as Workforce Manager. Prior to that role, he spent nearly a decade as the men’s basketball head coach at Ottawa University, bringing with him more than 25 years of experience in high school and collegiate athletics. He has a strong history of building and maintaining meaningful relationships with student athletes, colleagues, alumni, and community partners.

He holds a Master of Arts in Educational Technology from Ottawa University, completed the Teacher Licensure Program at Washburn University, and earned his Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Kansas. His grandparents were long-time supporters of Washburn University, and he attended Washburn events while growing up. 

Siebenthall and his wife Shayla have two daughters, Berkley and Elle.
