Washburn University Athletics

Colin Budke joined the Washburn Athletic Department on July 28, 2024 as the Assistant Athletic Director for External Relations and Fan Engagement after wrapping up a two-year stint as a graduate assistant at Central Missouri.
 
At Central Missouri, Budke served with the athletics marketing and promotions gameday staff while also working to increase the Mules and Jennies fan engagement and promotions while overseeing a student staff.
 
Prior to joining the Central Missouri staff, Budke spent a summer internship with the Leesburg Lightning from the Florida Collegiate Summer League helping with the non-baseball operations and assisting in marketing and promotions along with fan experience and engagement.
 
Budke earned his undergraduate degree from Kansas State where he was a three-year assistant with K-State Athletics, Inc. working as part of the gameday video staff.
 
The Beloit, Kan. native earned his master’s degree from Central Missouri in Sports Management in May 2024 and his bachelor of science in business administration majoring in marketing in May 2021.
