Washburn University Athletics

Kyle Manthe is in his third year in the Washburn Athletic department as a full-time assistant after serving as the communications office intern in 2022. During his time with Washburn he has contributed to seven publications that have received citations for excellence from COSIDA and earned eight awards in all. Manthe earned his bachelor’s degree in Mass Media from Washburn in 2022. 

During his time at Washburn, Manthe worked at the Washburn Review for two years and served as the sports editor for the 2021-22 year. In the spring of 2022 he worked as a student intern with the sports information department assisting with photography and the creation of promotional materials. He has previously worked as a board operator at 580 WIBW and continues to work as a contributor for Top Sports News.

He is from Topeka where he currently lives with his fiancé, Gabby.
