Washburn University Athletics

Schmidt currently serves as the Director of Sales for Washburn Athletics, where he oversees corporate sponsorships, ticketing sales, and operations. He assumed this role after transitioning from his position as Assistant Business/Ticketing Manager for Washburn Athletics, a role he held after joining the department as an External Relations Intern in October 2021.

Prior to his work with Washburn, Schmidt interned with the Kansas City Monarchs during their 2021 American Association Championship season.

Schmidt graduated from Washburn University in the Fall of 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media, with a journalism emphasis. He graduated with a Master of Science in Recreation with an emphasis in Sports Management at Northwest Missouri State in the summer of 2024.

Schmidt's father, Ryan, played baseball for the Ichabods from '89-'92.
