Senior guard Stevi Schultz scored 17 points Wednesday at Missouri Southern and then had 15 in Washburn’s 14-point win over No. 8 PSU Saturday to keep the Gorillas from clinching the title and give Washburn a chance to win it in the final week. Saturday against PSU she hit three straight 3-pointers in the first three and a half minutes and Washburn jumped to a 16-0 start five minutes into the game. Schultz went 6 of 9 from the field that game and grabbed nine rebounds. Wednesday she went 6 of 13 with four 3-pointers and eight rebounds. For the week she averaged 16.0 points and 8.5 rebounds and shot 55 percent from the field and 54 percent from 3-point range.
