Carson went 5 for 8 in her first collegiate action driving in five with two home runs and a double as Washburn split a doubleheader in its first weekend of play. In the opener she went 2 for 4 with an RBI and in the second game against SBU, she was 3 for 4 with 4 RBI and two home runs scoring two runs. She also picked six innings in relief in the opener allowing three earned runs in a no decision.
